1. Booking and Deposits
- A 25% deposit may be required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
- All bookings are considered tentative until a deposit is received.
2. Payment Terms
- Full payment is due within 30 days of delivery of the final product.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or any other methods agreed upon at the time of booking.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- Clients may cancel or reschedule their booking without incurring any fees.
- We reserve the right to reschedule a shoot due to adverse weather conditions, unforeseen circumstances, or other factors that may disrupt the shoot (particularly for drone work). In such cases, we will reschedule at no additional cost to the client.
4. Copyright and Usage Rights
- Dorset Drone Shoots retains full copyright ownership of all footage and images captured during the shoot.
- Clients are granted the rights to use the media for promotional and marketing purposes, such as websites, social media, and advertising.
- Clients may request full copyright ownership for an additional fee.
- Media must not be resold, transferred to third parties, or used for illegal or defamatory purposes.
- We retain the right to use both edited and unedited media for our own promotional, marketing, or portfolio purposes.
5. Deliverables
- Clients will receive digital copies of the final media unless otherwise agreed or if purchasing physical prints through our online store.
- Delivery times will be agreed upon at the time of booking and will depend on the scope and complexity of the project.
- While we make every effort to deliver within the agreed timescale, unforeseen circumstances such as technical issues, additional editing requirements, or weather conditions may cause delays. In the event of such delays, we will notify the client as soon as possible and work to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
6. Permissions and Consents
- Clients are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, consents, and release forms for any individuals or locations involved in the shoot.
- Clients are also responsible for ensuring that their use of the media complies with GDPR regulations.
- We can provide support in obtaining these permissions and consents, with additional charges applicable for this service.
7. Drone Operations
- Drone operations are subject to weather conditions as well as CAA and local regulations. We cannot fly in adverse weather conditions or areas where drone flight is restricted.
- We are fully insured and CAA-certified for all drone operations.
8. Liability
- While we take all reasonable care to deliver high-quality media and professional services, we are not liable for any unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to equipment failure, accidents, or interruptions due to adverse weather or local regulations.
- We are also not responsible for any failure to obtain the necessary permissions or consents by the client.
9. Client Safety
- Clients are responsible for their own safety during the shoot, especially in situations that may involve hazardous locations (e.g., near machinery, moving vehicles, cliff edges, water bodies, or uneven terrain).
- We recommend that clients take appropriate precautions and do not place themselves in dangerous situations during the shoot. Dorset Drone Shoots cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or incidents resulting from the client's actions during the filming process.
10. Data Protection and Security
- We adhere to GDPR guidelines and ensure that any personal data or media captured is handled securely.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR in relation to the use of the media.
11. Promotional Use of Media
- We reserve the right to use all media (both edited and unedited) for our own promotional and marketing purposes, including on our website, social media platforms, and in advertising materials.
